Desmosedici GP17 original exhaust camshaft

This exhaust camshaft was mounted on the Ducati Desmosedici GP 2017. The camshafts of Ducati desmodromic engines have a high technical quality and their construction is extremely complex due to the presence of two lobes combined for each valve. The lobes are responsible for guiding the valve during the opening and closing movements. The great accuracy that controls the valve position allows the application of extreme lifting profiles that enable the high performance of these engines. The maximum acceleration to which intake components are subjected is 25,000 m/s2. The component is accompanied by a certificate of originality signed by Claudio Domenicali and Luigi Dall'Igna. NOTE: as this component is subject to oxidation, we advise frequent lubrication to maintain its appearence. The item may only be used for exhibition purposes.
