The piston was mounted on the Desmosedici GP 2020 engine.
It can be said that, of the entire engine, the piston was undoubtedly the most stressed component. During the race it is subject to pressure exceeding 100 bar inside the combustion chambre, moving at an average speed of over 27,5 m/s.
The piston itself weighs 154 g.
The component is accompanied by a certificate of originality signed by Claudio Domenicali and Luigi Dall'Igna.
